Whitney Houston To Receive Billboard’s Millenium Award


 Late R&B icon ,Whitney Houston will be honoured posthumously with the Billboard Millennium Award in this year’s ‘Billboard Music Awards’ billed to hold in Las Vegas on  May 20.

 The late singer will be honoured during a tribute performance by Jordin Sparks and John Legend at the awards. Spark’s performance will be reminiscent of her role as   Houston’s daughter in the upcoming remake of the film ‘Sparkle’ which debuts in theatres this August.

 Whitney Houston’s only surviving daughter, Bobbi Kristina and sister-in-law, Pat Houston will make a special appearance to receive the award in honour of the singer who departed on February 11 at the age of 48.

 Houston holds the record for being the first artist to ever have seven consecutive No. 1 hits on Billboard Hot 100. She also clinched four N0. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, including ‘The Bodyguard’ soundtrack.
