Music in Nigeria is Getting Worse - 9ice

Abolore Akande popularly known as 9ice does not share the popular opinion that Nigerian songs are waxing stronger, especially when it comes to content and lyrics.

When asked what his opinion was on the current state of the Nigerian music industry in a recent interview with The Vanguard, the 'Everyday' crooner disclosed that he was not impressed.

"I think we are getting worst instead of getting better. What we dished out is not quality. What we have now is quite different from the way it all started. I would say it’s better we go back to the days of Plantashun Boiz", 9ice explained. Continue to read more

He continued "do we even have song now? What we have now is the beat. Aside that, there is no content regulation .We have been saying that we should go back to the drawing board. The first thing is to get PMAN right. Once we get PMAN right with the artistes of this generation participating actively in PMAN activities, the body will be able to represent all the musicians and fight for our collective and individual rights".

9ice is set to drop another set of double albums titled 'CNN' and 'GRA' in March 2013.  ‘CNN’ means Cancelling Numerous Negativity while ‘GRA’ stands for Galvanizing Right Ahead, the albums would contain 8 tracks each.
